Zero Waste Stores and Farmers Markets in Dublin!

As we approach the new year, we start jotting down different goals and changes we want to implement, we put so much pressure on ourselves that by the second week of January we have crossed off and failed on about 70% of what we wanted to achieve. WHY?? Why do we set ourselves up for failure, why don't we just pick a couple of small tasks that are achievable and do them well, simple! I have set myself out a task for next year, to reduce my waste and to try to completely stop using single plastics! I Ideally would love to be waste free but it is impossible living in a small attic flat in Rathmines with nowhere to compost let alone breath!! I have set myself out 4 simple tasks:

  1. Only buying vegetables that come loose (which means shopping around), no more single use plastics or avocados that come in a plastic tray wrapped in plastic (WHAT?)

  2. Buying all grains, dried beans and nuts in zero waste shops. I am lucky that I have two really close by (all listed below).

  3. Not buying any new clothes in 2020 (this one is going to be super hard), which means loads more clothes swaps with friends! Who's in?!

  4. Start to make my own cosmetics and oils (when I can).
